Hopefully servos will be in on Thursday and we'll have it in the air this weekend. Will be flying on a 1910/1Y/H and HV-85. EvoLite 8S 4270, 611 Gyro.

sounds good.Curious why did you go with the 1910 with only 8s.I was under the impresssion the 1907 was the best 8s setup.
I'm planning on trying a 1910 for 10 or 12 s setup. are you planning on going to 10 or 12s?
I have 6s setup fo those evolights 4270's in my swift.they work good plus you can charge them at 2 c.
I have a buddy that's geting a 611 this week and he whant,s me to give it a try in one of my heli's first .to see what i think of it. currently i have 14 futaba 401's and no complaint's. I think he whant's to see me spend more money, and he figures after i try the 611 i'll have to buy a few for myself.

About another week and it should be flying!

I just ordered 23 tooth primary pully for my Phazor. I just happen to have a spare century 650a 565 kv motor laying around and it's good up to 12s.so i figure why not try it,all i had to buy was the one pulley. although i ordered a spare motor mount for it so i can make faster motor changes if need be.
Do you have any 12s experience finless? if so any input would be great.
My thoughts are that the higher your voltage is, the more effeciat everything is,less amps less heat less waisted wattage, and more power. In my past experiance with my swift's . I have proved this theroey to be true, I'm useing 2 flightpower 6s 3200 30c/60c packs witch can deliver 96 con amps and 192 peak witch if you had a motor that could pull that many amps on 12s would be 11.4 gross hp and 10.3hp net at a 89% effecency .anybody know of a motor capable of 8,500 watts?Man coud you imagine if there was such a motor and you stuffed inside a phazor at 8 pounds with a 12s setup.:YeaBaby::YeaBaby:

Don't forget to check the CG with a 12S pack in the nose.
True, Amps go down as volts go up IF you are running the same power.
It sounds like you are after more power so the motor will be pulling more Watts.
More watts is more heat unless you do something to increase efficiency.
But I'll bet you knew that.;)

I like my helis nose heavy any ways. but with the packs i'm going to use it won't be by much.
As far as the wattage goes. You're right i'm after max power,However there seams to be some contraversy on that subject.the conversations i had with a Neu rep led me to beleive that a motor can only absorb so many watts and weather it gets them from amps or volts it still adds up to the same watts, the advantage is in the effecency that comes from running more volts and less amps.the only way I'll know for sure is to try it.I figure theres nothing to lose .if it doesn't work. i have a 6s swift that likes those batteries very much.and I can always add another heli to the fleet to put that motor in.Can never have to many heli's.:)
