The 800 number is recent I believe. You should get excellent support now as the other guys are saying that is what they're getting.

I Thought Id follow up my earlier post. Well I replaced the pinion and main gear with rapotr 50 ones and now my clutch no longer sticks. Its smooth as butter now.

Okay, I've narrowed it down to either the Caliber 5 or the Stinger 50. However, I'm reading about a lot of issues with the Stingers concerning gear mesh problems ... has this been fixed? I also read about QC issues concerning the head, has this been fixed as well.
I don't want to have to spend $100.00 in upgrades.

Fflipp204,
Yes, we have fixed the issue with the main gears. The gears now mesh nicely.

Hey Dave. This is Mike King. I have sent you the spur gear that stripped on my Stinger 50. Could this have happened because of THE gear mesh problem? If so it would certainly seem that I should be compensated for the damage to my heli.

Mike,
I got your gear and took a look at it. The gear mesh issues in this thread are somewhat dated. The gears that these guys were having problems with were back when we had the black 85 tooth main gears. Now that we have tweaked the mold (& changed the color to grey) we haven't had the problems. Don't know what to tell you. Feel free to call me if you'd like. 800-381-4127.
