No joking. :D

Also backup your custom heli's. Then new install will get rid of them. :DOH :arggg:

It kept my modified choppers, just added a new folder for them, BUT it will not communicate with older versions in multiplayer.
Pretty cool overall though, now to try it on my laptop.

If you uninstall, you need to remember to _not_ check the box to delete your custom aircraft. The update should not affect your custom aircraft. I installed the update on my home machine last night and did not lose mine.

now i cant solve the problem till Monday when there customer support
Vance,

I'm sorry you're having problems with the update. If you remember the password that you used to register the software the first time, you should be able to re-register using that same password without any trouble. You should only need to contact product support if you can't remember the password.

From the launcher, click Additional Options | Registration/Updates | Online Registration... Fill out the form as required and then enter the password you used before. After that you should be good to go.

We at Knife Edge aren't extremely worried about pirates. The problem is that the online update/registration mechanism was copied straight from G2. If we ever get to create a completely new product I doubt that it will have such security measures.

I did not do a uninstall, and it wiped out all my custom models. No big deal I should have back them up.

I went to online registration and remember my password...when it tries to send the information to the realflight server it says that the server thinks its an unauthorised serial number.

Is there an FTP site where i can download the update without going through the online update server?

Vance - sorry the update blew up on ya... my update went super smooth & quick... no lost registration or models. This update has saved me from what I thought was heading toward some regret - I sold xtr a few weeks ago. This is 'better' than xtr! The physics really shine through when the cpu isn't loaded down. Wish I could help with your install. Let me know when you're rolling so we can online again.

Hey guys nice work Vitek!!

I really like hte pho realistic sod farm. I find this MUCH brighter and easier for me to see the heli. I just hover around the field until I have the perfect light, and fly. ;) Real Cool. Great job thank you!

All my settings and custom helis stayed through the upgrade with no issues. The program itself seems to run faster. Right now I have Outlook Express, HeliFreak.com, Skype, MSN Messenger for work all open, and G3 is running very nice and quick framerate in a window to and full 1024x768.

Definite upgrade for G3. :banana

I played with the update some last night as my brother called and wanted some flight instruction. A couple things still definitely seem odd but the fields look very nice. An indoor gym with some decent foamy style airplanes would be nice. Anyway, it is a nice update. The multilplayer also seems to work fairly well as that is about all I use the sim for. It is a nice instructional tool.

From what I hear he needs a lot of instruction..... oh wait, I resemble that remark.

man, nice update, best thing about it is the Anti-Skid feature, the heli doesn't yaw when starting to fly! and the canopy actually breaks this time!
