What version of the Align main gear will work with the belt CP. Is the belt Cp main gear 140t

I think the Trex main gear requires you to move the motor and change the pinion. To be honest, you would be better off getting the Helimax maingear for a MX400 [part no HMXE8205], whick is a straight fit. They are available from omnimodels.com for $6.29 including OWB. Very good upgrade.

So do you still use the esky bottom main gear with the MX400 gear? If so great, I have a ton of those esky bottom gears. The top one is the only one that ever gets ruined on me from shreading teeth off it.
Thanks.

Yes,that is precisely what i do. The helimax is a straight fit; most prefer to prod the one-way bearing through a mm or two to aid clearances. I went through 3 or 4 of the pEsky main gears before switching. At the moment i am using a Blade 400 main gear [ part # EFLH 1452 ], which is also a straight swap, and is black too.
See the sticky thread above http://www.helifreak.com/images/icons/icon1.gif Belt CP - Compatable T-Rex Parts for other bits to be used.

Hey Mike,
Thanks for the information. I'm sick of running into situation where vendors are out of stock on the esky main gears. I wish esky would just sell the top gear only and without the OWB. Because like i said, I have a ton of brand new bottom gears because they really never go bad on me and I have a bunch of good OWB. I'll probably try the blade 400 gear next time because they are readily available @ my LHS.
Thanks again.

Have had no issues with mine Ian. BTW, the bird is ready to go again tomorrow - servos arrived, have fitted, just need to go through a bit of setup.

Thanks again for the reassurance on the Blade 400 main gear. The more non-Esky parts we can throw on these things the better off. Nothing against esky parts, but I just hate going out to my main 3 vendors sites and see 'Out of Stock' on a desperate item I need. That happens quite frequently.
Helihathnofury- what servos did you go with? I fitted mine with Futaba 3114's a few weeks back for my cyclic servos. Work very well. Just got sick of the esky's.
So far for aftermarket stuff, I run Align main & tail blades, futaba servo's, t-rex clone canopy... soon to have trex style head. Btw- Align blades are the best thing I've done. I love the align 315 fiber blades. They can take quite a bit of abuse.

Rotax800, I use the Towerpro sg91r as do many others. Pretty solid bit of kit.
An item well worthy of upgrade is the main shaft. Get the Align carbon steel, which will take all the punishment you could give it, and a lot of us fit trex flybars and paddles too.

DO you need the trex flybar to run the trex paddles? What about the gorilla paddles, will they fit on the esky flybar or again do I need the trex one?
Gotta buy some more upgrades, bird still not rebuilt but want her perfect when she is (still flying the stock belt I built!)

Hi gerd I put the belt paddles on my Copterx head when I first got it and they fitted ok
The align flybar is a straight fit in the copterx head the flybar is a larger diameter but the thread on the end is the same, so I think your ok with the stock one:thumbup:

Returning to the main gear issue. My last "nastie" resulted in a few teeth getting chewed off the Blade 400 main gear. Whilst this is better than the stock pEsky part, I feel that the Helimax main gear is the best of the three, and have subsequently put a new Helimax one on. Shame we cannot get them in the UK [yet!!!!!!]
