I was wondering if buying a logo 500 3D without the V-bar made it any different from any other heli in terms of performance? It is kind of hard to not notice the price difference!!
yes, v-bar or flybar, the 500 is one awesome heli!

It's very worth it! And yes it's easily blown the pants off of the other flybar'd heli i've owned or flown.

I own the 500 3d flybarless, and it flys better than anything I've even flown. I like my Trex 600e, but my Logo's power to weight ratio is just crazy. If the 600e changed direction as quickly as my Logo can, the blades would rip off.
I can't compare the Logo 500 flybarred to flybarless, but I will say the flybarless is loads of fun to experiment with. And it holds a hover forever hands off. It's kind of weird the way it flies too, fff stays fff until you do something to change it. No tendency to pitch up, since the system tries to maintain whatever attitude you put it in electronically, and has a closed loop feedback system, as opposed to the open loop system that the mechanical flybar creates.
I think if you've never flown a flybarless system, you owe it to yourself to try it. :cheers
