Am loving this heli! Looking to upgrade the tail blades. What are people using and what sorts of results are you getting?

Upgrades so far have only been, 401 + 9257 and hs65hb x 3. Sooo good. I had a few tail blow-outs with the stock gyro.

Takes everything I can throw at it!

im using the align carbon fiber tail blades and they work well. plus the black blades look better than white in my opinion!

I am going to try the KB blades on my tail. I am swapping out the tail blade grips for the align, simply because the align seem to always be in stock. I have tried the align in blade's stock grips and they just didn't fit right. I'll report back on how I like the setup.

I'm also using the K&B tail blades.

At first I was sanding them to thin the root so they'd fit in the stock grips. That worked OK but there was always too much slop in the grips.
I have since gone to the Align grips and hub, although the K&B's are a little tight with them they work great and are more durable than the E-flite blades.

The Align/K&B setup is longer (larger diameter) than the stock setup so you will probably want more ground clearance for the blades. I made a small tail stinger to keep the tail up on uneven ground.

K&B`s Only had them for 2 days but so far I like them, more durable and they move more air.

If you go with the align tail setup (hub, grips and blades) you can use the align 450 vert and horiz fins to give more clearance. correct?

This thing has so much power.

I'm putting K&B's on mine too. I am going to mill out the B400 grips just a little as the roots of the blades are a little thicker than the stock 400 blades.

Also doesn't hurt I get mine for free right from the man himself...

Kevin's a great guy and makes a great product. I have known him for 20 years and he has been very helpful to me getting started.

There have even been rumors of him possibly developing a dampener for the Blade when he gets a chance.

He's a busy man...

I bought the align carbon tail blades I think its the 3K. And guess what I discovered I nick it once and its JUST A SHRINK COVERING, whats up with that. After that its not balance no more, vibrations set in. What a waste of my $8 bucks. So my advise stay away from this use K&B or stock blades you will be happy. Just my 2 cents guys forgive me just venting out OK.

If you want pics just ask and I will post it.
