Is there anyone out there who can put my mind at rest please, when I first started in this hobby I was told all the horror stories about pcm tx's and that 2.4g was the only option. What is actually the problem with the pcm setup is it really that bad or is it just hype.If I buy a pcm tx what sort of issues am I really gonna encounter.Would be very gratefull if someone could put my mind at ease.thanks

We've been using PPM and PCM for years.

2.4 has some advantages but 72mhz systems are very viable and there's lots of deals to be had with more and more people jumping on the 2.4 band wagon. If you attend events though, 2.4 is a huge advantage.

The only advantage with 2.4ghz I can see at this time is that you do not have to worry about someone else being your frequency. As 2.4 ghz has more and more units actually being used. There is problems popping up such as brown outs, interference from like ESC's and motors and such. Every event that I have been too this year there has been at least one or two problems with a 2.4 ghz system. So just my opinion, it is still a radio frequency. And any radio frequency can have issues. The only difference between 2.4ghz and 72 mhz or 35-40 mhz or what ever. Your only on one specific frequency all the time with those band.

thanks for that guys see this is my problem I have had the issues you mentioned and it has really shook my confidence with the 2.4g band. The only reason I aked these questions is because I have been looking at a nitro helicopter on the century uk site and it is supplied with a 7ch pcm tx/rx and was hoping I could just stick with that and not have to spend any more getting it 2.4g equipped.thanks
