I just started mounting new HS-65MG servos in my TRex only to find there are no mounting nuts, only some self tapping screws? Is this right? Do I need to provide my own hardware or are the plastic nuts that come with the kit reliable enough?

Well, since nobody cares about this, I will tell other noobs that if you use spacers for the rear pitch servo to center the ball link and keep the linkage aligned as explained by finless Bob, you should use longer machine screws and nylon locknuts to mount the servo. I did this since the short self tapping screws that come with the TRex 450 kit only allow a couple of threads to grab the crappy plastic nut, and feels like they will strip out easily. I'm not taking any chances on something with such a simple fix.

Those aren't long enough for the elevator servo mod. Good luck.
