Hi all.

My Logo 500 is up and flying with the Helicommand RIGID, which is really great to set up. The only catch is that it's tail gyro is crappy, so I've pulled the GY401+9254 off my Logo 10 for now, but I'm wondering what to replace it with. There's really not a whole lot of room on board these machines, and the Spartan's are never in stock, so I'm starting to think about the JR770 and matching tail servo.

The GY401 is a great gyro and I have considered just picking up another one. The main issue is that the piros aren't consistent, the stops are sloppy and I've never gotten rid of the slow clockwise drift.

What do you guys think of the various new SMM gyros on the market these days?

Doesn't it take up a lot of room?

LOL!! No... The gyro sensor itself is about the size of a 401. The amplifier box (or whatever you call it) is about the same size as a small box of matches, like what you would get at a nice cigar bar. Sorry don't have any other way to describe it. The box weighs about 10 grams and the sensor about 20 or so. In total it weighs about half of what GY611 does. It's light weight, easy to setup and works great! I'm sold on it and am looking at buying a second for my Knight 600E.

Hey ,
I use the Jr 770 3d . It took a while ( lack of experience) but got it dialed in on rate and HH.
Works perfectly and the 8900 tail servo is perfect for the gyro.
My 2 cents worth
