View Full Version : using PC motherboard studz to extend bladegrip balls

It just struck me, hmm studz that the motherboard in a pc sits on might be just perfect to extend the ball on the bladegrip, yes, im sooo cleaver :-)
worked perfectly on my 600N, did find 2 different threaded once in my junkbox, the more fine threaded one was perfect.

I have worked in IS for about 15 years. I would not use parts that are not made to handle vibration and are not hardened to handle a blade grip on my heli. Use with extreme caution although I would not even consider using a static part like a MB stud on a heli. JMHO....

For the first time in my life, I'm going to have to agree with Will. Seems like they couldn't be too expensive to just but Mikado standoffs of to just modify some MA ones...

well I know u r abit more (read alot) 3D than me but.. it did the work.. and I found some replacements..

Pins on the bladegrips in the HT .50 rappy blade gripkit was also a nice fit.. steel and close to zero delta..
