once installed, is there slight side to side movement?

No there shouldn't be any movement side to side there are two spacers that slide between the carrier and the seesaw holder they probally dropped out when you pulled the flybar out. check 4 that and next time push out the old flybar with the new one so you don't drop the spacers cause they are hard to get back between there otherwise.

i think i put them on my feathering shaft. lol just kidding.

The two spacers are stepped, as I learned when they dropped out during removal of the flybar shaft (before I read the previous posting here!). Which way do they go in, stepped side toward the bearing vice versa?
