All,

I finally got back and had a chance to shoot some pictures of the spindles (feathering shaft) of the three classes of heli.

The first is the GAUI-200, next the T-Rex 450 v2, and finally the T-Rex 600

Note how the GAUI spindle is shorter and thicker in cross-section. I believe that's why they stay straight, but we may be transfering stresses to the blade grips, so I'm checking mine after every crash.

lol :rolling

Neat comparison Gr4yb3ard. That really puts it in perspective on how much smaller this bird really is than most of the birds out there.

He,He, Yeah, but it's sensitive in the wind and a bit tail heavy! ;-)

I'll make a game out of sneaking the baseball cap and sticker into some shots over the summer...

This 600 build was a shocker <Gadzooks! What a monster!> ;-)
I was working on the 200 and the teeny walkera, then this thing. Like going from electron microscopes and tweezers to binoculars and forklifts. I actually had to go out to the garage toolbox to get allen wrenches large enough for the spindle bolts.

So now I've posted on everything from a 4hp flying lawnmover to a 67g psychotic junebug.
By now I'm even more certain, and have the actual flights, to state that the 200 will be getting the most flight time.

Next steps: First flying! Next building a travel case, and then getting serious about night lighting.
