Well, sorta. The factory is closed for our "Golden Week" holiday but the display hall and restaurant were open.

Not quite what I expected but I plan to go back later on when I can take an actual tour (have to make reservations for that).

I tried to get some insider info from one of the employees that was "wowing" the crowd (my and maybe one other family) bringing it with an XRB Lama in the hall entrance. I made it interesting for him by opening and closing the door repeatedly to let in the outside breeze until I was ordered to stop... :YeaBaby: He wouldn't say a thing (probably out of fear of beheading) about the rumored new .50 in development...

Did get my picture taken by the wife in front of an R-Max. It's on film so I'll post it when the wife gets it developed.

If anyone has a question to ask on my next trip, let me know. They are tight lipped, but if it's about a product already out they might have an answer.

Whoops... I meant to post this in the Hirobo Nitro helis section. If a mod has a chance, could ya move it?

Yea, I know... Like I said there wasn't a whole lot except static displays to see today. Within the next month or so I'll be going back and will bring my digital camera.

The thing that really struck me the most was how SMALL the place is! Even for Japan... Of course it's basically their HQ and R&D section (plastics molding and other plants in other locations).

Did get to play with the camera on this puppy though. Even though I'm not into aerial photography...

It's called the Sky Surveyor and is powered by a 125cc twin two stroke (gasoline). Two big fat hand welded expansion chambers on the side make it look like it's ready for 3D. :YeaBaby:

Here's a pdf that explains more. http://www.hirobo.co.jp/sec/img/sky-surveyor.pdf

Could you maybe ask if there is anything new coming out for the Lepton

Will do, but as I said they aren't willing to say "much" if anything about "new" or future stuff. From my experience last year of talking to some of the staff at an airshow booth they will offer advice on current products. When I asked, "what is the first thing I should upgrade on my Sceadu" the guy whispered "washout and radius block". He looked around to make sure nobody was listening first. :YeaBaby:
