Gr4yb3ard, how do you know his pinion is to tight just from watching the video? :noteworthy These are the kind of priceless tips I am always looking for.
Thanks!

OOH, yess...
I suspect they're going scale.
With 2, 3, and 5 blade heads, we may see some neat new fuselague stuff soon, I'd put yer vote in!
I want a 200 class Chinook/46/47/whatever.. Mash the roller on my DX6i and spin up the tandem to go sling my busted GAUI200, no my HUEY!, err I'm old school, sorry...

Heli-x
The gear whine was not right, had more than the normal whistle to it. The tail rotor stopped way too suddenly, though that could have been a camera artifact.
(of course the main rotor spun down nicely on the one-way.)
----
Most likely, they put the head on and flew it for the vid, who cares to set up the gearing, this was a test/demo.
Anyway, MHO, That heli's pinion/main gear is too tight! Flying-Hobby, speak up if you'd like!

Huh?
Interestinger and interestinger. I think that there's lots to dampers, hubs and spindles that I'd like to learn more about.
This looks pretty loosy-goosy to me, last I heard on CP's the hot ticket was <ball bearings> in place of the dampers. Sounds pretty tight. But everyone I know seems to go stiffer and stiffer in the damper area.. Hmm.
How you doing with your 200 hub? Last I heard, you felt that it had wallowed out, and your grips were drifting, was'nt flying well.
Just a thought. Would you consider JB-welding the spindle into the old hub? Use some wax or grease to get the spindle out later, but as the hub's apparently shot, this would be an interesting test for a really tight setup.
Just an idea, getting my bud to risk his equipment, before crashing myself... ;-)

not a bad idea, for the good of science, anyway. let me sleep on it. i don't see why not. it's not like i'm going to use it. however...i'm out of booms again. maybe i should put my boom struts back on
