I'm wondering what brand of fuel everyone runs? I like buying from Tower Hobbies, and I see they have Cool Power as well as Wild Cat fuel (endorsed by Curtis Youngblood). What do you guys think of these brands? I don't know if matters much, as I am a beginner, but I do want to make sure I'll have a decent fuel to run my O.S. Hyper on.

This is one of those passionate issues. I use Cool Power 30% because it's what my LHS readily stocks.

Same here.
RunRyder has a poll right now about this very question and you'll see many varying responses.

Well, it's kind of the same with me. I usually buy a lot of things from Tower Hobbies, and it's pretty easy for me to order up some fuel in that way, but if there is a down side to that, it's that I would be stuck buying 4 gallons at a crack. That is the common way Tower sells the fuel. A local shop would offer gallon jugs at a time. 4 gallons might be to much for me to store. I'm not even sure how much fuel I'd be burning up during the typical flying season. Nor am I sure my local shop would even stock a fuel for helis. They sell a lot more planes then helis, but maybe I should give them a call.

You also have to remember that Tower adds a $20 hazardous material surcharge to the price of the fuel.

Looks like I'll be going with Wild Cat 30%. My local hobby shop sells it by the gallon, which is a little surprising, seeings how they don't even stock nitro helis, let alone one or two T-Rex electric models. Thanks for the in-sight guys.

You can't really go wrong with either Wildcat or Cool Power, despite what some nay-sayers say.
