Hey guys
My question is when Josh Moen fly my freya at Rotary Ring Out in Minnesota. The tail went out when he was flying it. What are the things I need to check ? The tail has alot of right stick. But very little left stick. Then 9254 servo for the tail rotor is fine. and the travel if I take it off the rod is full travel both ways is good. What else do I need to check on it too fly again
Thanks Jerry Clair :?

First off you need to get the left/right the same. Also what tail blades are you using. The stock ones dont hold that well in my experiences. How much time is on your 9254? What move was he doing when it blew out??

I have the DNHP white blades and the servo is new. I took off the link to the servo and the tail traveled equal distance both ways . So I believe the servo horn jump so I will align that tonight.

I found the problem with my tail my servo mount moved to the tail rotor alittle bit and that is why I had more right tail , very little left rudder. moved it back forward and test flew it today and its fine.
I'm building my evo 50 kit now and I have a OS50 Hyper, curtis Youngblood pipe and 3151 servos and also 401 gyro

Wow, I never thought about the tail servo sliding up or down the tailboom. That could seriously hose rudder throw. Why oh why haven't they mouted the tail servo with the other servos yet?

We lost a 9254 servo on the tail of a Freya this weekend at the field. It would still work sometimes but if you put pressure up against it, it would act funny (jump around and move away from the pressure) after playing with it for a while it did not even repond to the gyro or rudder stick. We walked it back to the bench and it seemed fine. I will let you know what he finds when he gets the servo back from HS.
