:)
Hi

Like most people with a CopterX head I have been using Align V2 feathering shafts.
When the blades flew off my heli the other day I lost the original shouldered spacers
that came with the head.

The spacers that come with the feathering shaft are .25 mm thinner than the copterX ones
which allows .5 mm off centering of the blade holders, also without the shoulder the dampers can squidge out of there housings.

I asked the chap At Midland Helicopters for advice but he just looked blank.

To remedy the situation I turned down to M4 washers Using my version of Finless Bob's
toothpick balljoint mod.

Stick a pencil through the washer and whizz it on a powerfile:)

Check the thickness to make sure you have them the same

The washer need super glueing to the pencil to stop it flying off.

Reinstall the feathering shaft with the washers against the dampers

Perfect results

All the best

That is very very strange. Trex V2 spacers are also Shouldered just like the CopterX.

I ordered V2 Feathering shafts for Trex and they come with the spacers and the ones i got look nothing like that, mine has 2 outside diameters (A stepdown/Shouldered) and is wider than the one you show.. somehow i think you didnt get the right spacer with your feathering shaft.

Got mine at ReadyHeli and comes with the correct spacer.

Did you buy them from that same guy with the "I dont know my job" look on his face?

Yup!! but as you can see its a proper align V2 shaft. All that comes with them is 2 little M2 washers, 2 small plain bushes and 2 M2 caphead screws??

I did get another pack the same I think from the Other Place,:thinking

I'll check out some other suppliers
