Hey guys, I got a blade 400 last week but am having a issue with it. One the first flight my hands messed up & I ended up cracking the main rotor blades when the heli tipped over. I went off to the to grab some new ones & the put them on after giving the heli a check over (everything else looked fine). I had one quick hover test off some gravel last night which was went ok. Then I went to practice hover again this morning & now all the tail wants to due is go right. I can get it to hold steady with about 3/4 right rudder but way to much I think so I decided to spin down & try to fix the problem before I crash again. I have checked the servo & gyro which seem to react right but now I just don't know & all the local hobby shop close on Monday's . Any ideas as to what to check or were to start trouble shooting ?

if it worked ok last night the first thing i would suspect is that the gyro did not arm correctly when you turned all on. When you plug the battery in don't move anything until you hear the beep and see if this does not fix it. Also check to see if you have not inadvertantly moved your trims.

Check your trims.

Besides trims, did you charge the battery? I have noticed on my 400 that the tail starts to drift more as the battery wears down.

make sure your servo didnt move causing the tail slider not to be centered anymore.

I did wait 10 min after get to the flying site to let the gyro adjust to the temp & it seem to arm just like before. I also tried rearming it the whole chopper after waiting another couple minutes. The pack was full charged before I went out there & I'm 99% percent sure the tail servo didn't move. I did range check before starting & it responded perfectly at 80 feet in reduced power mode. Could it be something in the head I missed maybe??

Have you looked at your tail boom and see if it might have gotten pushed in to the frame.
On mine when belt is sliping tail drift to right.
Take a look at tail boom and see if it is sitting propery.
Good luck.

I think I have found the problem. I was checking over the tail blades & noticed some scuff marks on the end. I think they must have touched the ground on my first flight tip over. Anyway it looks like either the alu. tail rotor hub or the tail rotor blade grip are messed cause the one blade grip seems to move a little too much. Do you think these could cause my problems. I'll go by the shop tomorrow & get some replacement then take her up for another test flight.
