Hi all, this is my 1st post here and i am feeling kind of dumb. I thought I bought pretty good stuff (with the exception of only getting a 450SA due to budget issues). I got the DX7 Heli with the 7 channel reciever, Logictech 2100T Gyro, HS65MG servos and the S9650 for the tail. All were recommended to me, but now when I'm trying to build it (my 1st build by the way, upgrading from the CX2) I find that the tab on the servo won't go in the reciever. I can only assume because it is a digital servo, but is there anyway around this or am I hooped and need to buy a different tail servo?

Thanks in advance.

The tab is a Futaba thing. The JR/Spectrum recievers do not use it. Simply carefully slice off the tab and it should plug right in. Just be careful to align the polarity of the wires properly or it will not work.

Good luck on the new heli.

Don't worry about plugging the servo in backwards. It won't cook anything, it just won't work.

I am assuming you know that the tail servo plugs into the gyro, and the gyro into the rx...

Yes I did know that, but thank you. It is one of the few thing I do know.

Progress has been slow. I have all the connections soldered now and the servos in place, I am just waiting on the gryo. I should have known not to buy it off E-bay, my stuff from Helihobby arrived in 4days. This gyro is from the US and has been 3weeks already, my batteries from Hong Kong were faster!

But thats ok cuz I've been watching the setup videos for the DX7, and not only does it seem stupid hard to set up, but I don't even know what half the terms they use are.

If you can locate a copy of the December 2007 issue of RC Heli, they had a very nice programming article with photos. You can order a back issue from http://www.rchelimag.com/pages/store.php.

Thanks, I ordered it, and the issue testing the 450SA (that's the only one I could afford on my budget).
