Hello, just wondering if any other DX6i owners have experienced the same broken part that I have broken on mine? I have broken one of the "arms" of the trim levers that push on the micro-switch beneath.

Since the trim levers are electronic, the trim knob doesn't move, but rather rocks back and forth pushing on a left or right micro-switch beneath. The lever/knob is just a plastic teeter-totter. One of the arms of the "teeter-totter" broke off on one of my trims.

Anyone else experience this? I'm hoping this was a fluke, and not a common problem for this new TX???

I think I have a broken trim switch also. I can trim elevator up, but i can't trim elevator down. I e-mailed horizon to see what they say.

I too have a broken trim rocker, and am worried that I am gonna have to send in my transmitter for such a easy fix that I could do myself if they would send me the parts...

I've just had the rudder trim switch break on mine too :( I put some CA on it, and it worked fine for a while, then failed again. I've swopped it over for the throttle one, and have glued a small block of plastic in the corner to give it some support where it flexes. I've e-mailed Spektrum, but no reply yet.
Looks like this will be a common problem!

Here's another breakable part -
the thumbwheel/selector on my DX6 (2 weeks old) broke today - pressed to access the list, got as far as subtrim, whilst spinning the roller the lower end sank in lower and I could no longer alter anything. Opened it all up, the roller presses on a simple switch at the upper end, and has a thin plastic spindle (too my old eyes looks to be hexagonal section or similar) at the lower end that passes into a sort of 'pot' to make the adjustments...this pin had snapped off at the point it exited the 'pot' centre.

Pushed the broken off part of the pin out with a screwdriver, a temporary replacement (when gluing failed to work) made from the end of an allan key. ('Allen wrench' I think you call them here - I'm a Brit)...just to hold it in place for now. Trouble is I'm here on holiday each summer, I go back to UK next week, and it doesn't sound like Horizon are likely to post this little plastic bit when I tell them it broke off, does it? I'll phone them tomorrow....I'm surprised to find such a critical component relies on a single plastic rod that's maybe half an inch long and less than a quarter inch thick, what's wrong with using a metal centre pin for strength?....Be very careful pressing that selector, I've used it VERY lightly and inside a fortnight it's toast!

Follow up -
phoned Horizon today, explained how i I sent the radio in I'd never see it again (I return to UK in a week, not much chance of having it stored anywhere until I get back here next July)... lovely chap in tech support grunts and chats whilst taking a TX apart, removing the broken part, and taking my address to post it to me.

(As I'm old and my short term memory is bad - coincidentally so is my short term memory - I didn't get his name, but if you read this pal then congrats again on the forthcoming honeymoon...I've had two so far!)
