Ok fella's here is a video showing us tacking the head speed plus flying on one of the new test motors for Outrage. This motor is very small and needs a good setup to show it best potential, HC and myself both run this motor and like its performance on a Kontronik ESC
Now we are playing around with this motor on a CCHV30, this video was shot before any changes were done to the ESC and Radio setup so... this is a completely generic setting.
We will get the settings dialed in but in the mean time please pardon this short flight ;) ;) ;)
also pardon the Gear noise I didn't have any of the nice and smooth cut Rhino pinions on me so we had to use brand X that looked like it was cut with a chain saw.

Hey Jeremy, are you cleared to receive such "classified info" hahahahah
I'm downloading it to and I was there to watch my son tear it up while Charley was trying to video him, this machine is awesome.

When you get the v-bar setup on it that's going to really rock the house. I bet you could go as low as 2200 when you get that setup locked in.

Jeremy,
Here is some motors to compare the Center motor is the one used in this video 1600kv one on right is Z10, left is Medusa 28-40-1700
Of course in this video that little motor is working hard as we still need to tweak the setup to get it to run like a sewing machine. As Gov mode was not working well at all with the starter settings. but we will get it dialed in and provide setup info so they don't have to spend a lot of time to find the sweet spot! and show another video
I will try to get a video of this motor on my Kontronik it a little beast all 58 grams of it!!!

Matt,
No I haven't but being it has same gearing as most 450's and same battery weight it will fly with that setup just fine
****Note**** G5 does not need over 3k to perform so with the set up you name off should have plenty of power If it were mine to set up I would fly it with a 10 or 11T pinion in GOV mode max out pitch 15+/- and 9 deg cyclic pitch dial in and "S" curve in pitch an bam you got it 3Ding
Something sounds alittle off in the vid.

I stripped all the electronics off my Mini-Titan after one last flight today.... I have a very good reason for it to find a new home. :dance

I had a chance to fly that motor in the G5 yesterday. Very impressive. That thing really makes good power. Especially considering I felw the dang thing for 9 minutes straight!:wow2:

Not sure about any dealers in Europe but the first and (I would assume) main distributor in the US is Heli Direct. Kit should retail for right around $350 and the projected street date now is May 31st.
Charley/Greg/whoever correct me if I'm wrong here.

Janis, yes to every thing that fsusmithc2 said about the G5. We are talking with dealers in Europe at the moment...but until they are set and have them you can order from www.helidirect.com as we sell and ship world wide.

Greg,
Will there be any other U.S dealers? Also, I'm sure this is a minority opinion but I never cared for the look of the carbon skids. Will I be able to replace them with a set of Gorilla gear or something similar?

Gscott, we are talking with another large dealer that might be carrying the Outrage line also...but it is too soon to talk about it in public...
As for using the gorilla gear...looking at the skid mounts...I would say that you should be able to drill the mounts and attach the gorilla gear...although once you see this sexy heli in person sitting on your kitchen table...you might end up thinking twice about putting that gorilla gear on it! :D
