speaking of racks, i made a heli rack out of 1/2 inch copper tubing, and used two end caps. i used copper bell hangers to mount it on my wall. i also polished it with brasso.

a friends daughter asked if she could color them with a marker. i couldn't refuse her puppy dog eyes, and it got me brownie points with mommy :)

We just had to suspect some sweet young thing was involved,

What with the pink flybar paddles, and all the heli's hung up on the towel rack....

...that's a dead give-away, right there, bingo!

(Rotor's found a fox that likes heli's)

towel rack? why you......#@*%$#@!

actually, that is 40 year old copper tubing i got when i installed a boiler. the old one was so big, we had to cut it up in little pieces to get it out. the hangers are new. they are copper bell hangers. the end caps were a 5 finger discount from work.:)

Somebody wake me up when the dampers are ready. Cash on the barrel, and no questions, as it's a prototype deal. I'm in for 4 sets...

So cool that Mike's looking after us, can't say enough about that...

Update on the fuel tubing dampers. About 50 flights or so, they feel a little softer than I recall them when new. I took apart the head last night, and they were still intact. Fun times putting it all back together though, I broke one of the grip screws off in the spindle but managed to get it back out. Ended up making some new screws from some Trex 450 Jesus bolts (had to be shortened).

MRivers,

Did you get the dampers changed out without having to pull the pin in the head?
