I set my CX2 up with my 6Xi radio from my blade 400. It works well, I used the setup on the spektrum website. My question is, if I am getting occasional wag when in the air in a hover do I need to turn the gain up or down?

An occasional wag could be that the gain is just a tad too high; You adjust it counterclockwise (barely breathe on it) and try again. Don't need to unplug to do this particular adjustment.
However; an occasional tail wag is normal in these as Your rudder stick is sometimes on the cusp of center and left or right rudder input, and it response is a little wag saying; "what do You want Me to do, turn or stay still?"
