ok so im halfway through building my trex500 and now wondering will i need a voltage regulator or stepdown? From what i can work out my HS82's run at 6v or 4.8v so i dont need a regulator for them but my tail server is 4.8v only so i will need something for that am i right? or am i missing something easy here? I would of asked this at my lhs but the guy working there was so hostile and unhelpful to me i bought all my stuff from the net instead of him.

It would be a good idea to run a step-down on the tail servo. If your gyro supports 6V, you can put the step-down between the gyro and the servo; that's how my T-Rex 600N is set up. Otherwise, put it between the gyro and the receiver.

Hi,

Not sure if youve managed to source a stepdown yet in the UK, but if not try Fastlad performance as ive just ordered a regulator and a stepdown from them.
