does anyone know "When" the 1000's of people who bought these helis might be able to get parts, has Horizon said anything about this absolute debacle they seem to have them selfs in? fancy having a product that you can't back up with spares, it's bloody disgraceful

cheers chuck

This isn't the first time HH has done this. A few years back when I got the first run of "Ultra-Stick" airplanes I needed a new wing kit (not from crash but FACTORY damage) I had to wait 8 weeks for the new "shipment" to come in. Apparently they have their production lines somewhere in another GALAXY and have to wait on Inter-Galactic Transport Services to make a run.

It's a simple matter of OVER selling and UNDER delivering. Plus it creates a "Buying Frenzy" when they do have parts on.

I got my Blade on 12/21; first shipment. The LHS I got it through got a whole shopping cart full of spare parts from Horizon along with the first shipment of helis. The other LHS nearby started seling B400s a month or so later, and they too got a whole rack of spare parts with their first order. Horizon had the full assortment of spares available online for a long time. I've picked up the things I though I might need in the event of crashes (picked up some of them the same day I picked up the heli), and I've got a gallon-sized ziploc back full of them. If places are out of stock of certain items, it's because WE'RE crashing and consuming all the replacement parts. That's not Horizon's fault. There was a great deal of concern toward the end of 2007 before they released the B400 that there wouldn't be any spare parts at the release, but to Horizon's credit, there were tons of spares. Now, 4 months later, they've run out. I'm sure it's only temporary, but it's hardly an "absolute debacle they seem to have them selfs [sic] in."

The ETA on them was 05 MAY, Monday, they should be into Horizon anytime, and a few days later hitting hobby shops.

Align Trex 450 feathering shafts should work. My LHS is out of the B400 ones, but they said to try the 450 ones and use the 450 shims. Will let you know.

man, you scared the crap out of me. I thought I had forgotten to order a feathering shaft after this last crash. But then I remembered that the last pack I bought was a 2 pack, so I still have an extra. :DOH

Okay I ordered the align feathering shafts. Just one more question ........... Should i shorten them to the correct length or just use the spacers that they come with? I've read that you can do either.

Probably safer to be exact by using the spacers.
