fuse protection??

Has anyone installed a fuse inline to the battery lead? When I had my crash, I noticed upon the tear down that the three wires from the motor must have gotten very hot, cause the insulation on them looks like shrink tubing now. Some pics would be helpful. Thanks

yeah, kind of, but something more heavy duty, like up to 30 amps., directly off the pos. wire at the battery plug. I can easily splice one in, just looking for some pointers.
