Hi All,
I'm looking to buy a NEU 1910H/1Y to put in my T-rex 600 on 8S with the CC85HV on a 13t straight pinion. It should rock.
The problem is that I can't locate a store that has this motor in stock... and I need one bad!! Nice weather, so I need it fast.
If you know a store that has one in stock, please let me know!!!!
Cheers,
Richard

We're running 8S 4270 EvoLite Brick packs
Hi Raptor,
Yep, thanks to Wren I'm flying the 8S FP Evolite 4270 as well. I'm getting six minutes of mild 3D with my Neu 1910/1Y. I'm very happy with the performance. It's just about equal to my governor and CarbSmart equipped 600N.
Now that I've got my 600E dialed in with a new swash plate and some elevator mixed in with aileron, it's flying great!
Keep 'em flying.:YeaBaby:

I have two of these - also use 2 3700 4S stuck together and have had 2 occasions replacing just one pack after a puff up (? why) and one pack just died,

Maybe the match wasn't good enough between the 2 packs, that's why I'm going with 1 brick 8s pack. That way the cell's are always balanced and equel in every way (matched, same amount of cycles etc).
The motor is already shipped out to me... so I should have it before I receive the batteries.
Cheers,
Richard

I'm torn between the 4250and the 3700 mah for my packs....what kind of flight time to you get with high draw 3d. I'm looking for 4 minutes 3d with a 30 second safety period to land.

With 2200 head speed on our Phazor we are flying 4 minutes of hard 3D. We also flew 4 minutes with the Trex at 2150 or so.

I'm flying 4:30 of moderate 3D (some tic-tocs, lotsa flips, rolls, etc., generally very fast flying) with the 3700s and putting 2100-2500 back in.

I'm also putting back ~ 2600mAh for 4:30 light 3D

Thanks for the feedback. I think I'll get one 3700 pack and try it out first. If I don't get enough time out of it I will bump my next packs to bigger ones...but I think 3700's sound like the way to go for both weight and performance.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but 4270 EvoLites and 3700 Evos are the same weight. The Evolites are rated at 18C while the EVOs are 25C.
18C 4270s are good for 77A continuous.
25C 3700s are good for 92A continuous.
I think that for an 8S setup 77A will be fine, but I don't have a logger.

After destroying some 2s packs in my makeshift 8s (6+2 5ks) setup (most likely due to draining them like a fat kid on a milkshake) I'm definitely not going to drop my C rating below 25. In fact I would buy 30C packs without hesitation is they made 8s bricks in the size I want, but alas they do not.

Hmmm... I think you are looking in the wrong direction. It seems that whenever someone tries to run 2 packs in series one of them dies in short order. Cell matching is huge for the building of packs.
To get the energy density you would need from a 30C pack either the pack would have to be smaller or significantly heavier.

The EvoLites are doing great, the problem with running 2 packs connected is that they are not matched...one of them is going to die way too early every time. They just aren't going to perform the same as each other. One totes more of the load and is toast in short order!

The Evolites will run hotter, not saying they will not be good enough.
Looking into FDR from other 8S users indicating that you could peak well above 77A.
Of course setup and flying style will influence.
