I HOPE I'VE LEARNED MY LESSON!?!?!?!!!
At least I know how to put it all together again!
I'll do the "rebuild" video this weekend and post it by Saturday night. I'll try to add a little humor to it, but I'm a teacher, NOT a comedian!

Dang Murf, so you did crash it. That stinks bro. Too bad that bare bones B4 is not out yet. It might save you some time and possibly money.
Have not heard the details yet but, your fault? Did you push it? Tell us all so we learn from it.

Oh my alot of people crashing this week and last week. And most are almost totalled whats going on here. Sorry for that any pics of the carnage. If I get my bird flying this weekend I will take an easy hovering no hanky-panky stunts.
Damn Murf, looks a lot like my list except add on a few more parts, including but not limited to, lipo, frame, blade grips, and a whole list of other stuff. My grand total will come to somewhere around $230-$250. What were you doing when you crashed? Trying some new stuff? Maybe some inversion? Thats what got me.
Well anyway good luck, and I hope we are both back in the air as soon as possible.
One more question, is there video of your unfortunate incident? I shared mine and I feel great about it. It really helps to share and get feedback from the group. I always try to have a positive attitude no matter what happens.
no hanky-panky stunts.
Eugene, hanky-panky stunts are what it's all about.:rolling

sd0 & HeliMix: I WISH I had video of it....'cause you'd both be laughing at how STUPID it was! It would be a cool story if I told you it crashed while I was attempting a roll or loop or some great nose-in technique, but NO!
I had JUST finished getting the blades to 0 pitch at mid stick.....which I had NEVER done pulling the heli out of the box!!! I had been flying the stupid thing at at least +1 or +2 pitch at mid stick since I got it. Since I'm new, I ASSUMED that out of the box, that's the way it was supposed to be.
Anyway, I started flying like crazy and then watched SOKALS vid on setup and decided to go check mine. Then adjusted to 0 pitch at midstick....cranked it up in my front yard, and I couldn't get it to lift off. I flipped it over to STUNT and still couldn't....flipped back and forth a couple of times and then something snapped (I think a rod popped off) and the heli jumped in the air, banked to the left, and landed on it's head at almost full throttle.
I DIDN'T EVEN GET IT TO HOVER before the crash!!!!!
Flew it this morning (very hesitantly) and my right stick is a lot more sensitive now, but it's flying right on.
I'm going to have to get used to the CORRECT pitch curves now and re-teaching my left hand the new throttle positions, since I got so used to the WRONG ones.....
I did video the rebuild, so I'll post that this weekend...

Dang teach, that was a fast rebuild. What'ca do? Skip school? Well, glad to hear is was something stupid (sort fo what you said). That means, if I don't get stupid, I won't crash like that. Right? Right? Ok guys, please tell me I'm right.

nope. Even when you're being careful, you can crash. I crashed simply because it got just a little too far away and I could no longer see what orientation it was in. All happened in a matter of seconds.

Ok then, so if I don't do anything stupid, or fly to far away... THEN I won't crash!
PS - I was kidding the first time. I know it will eventually happen... again. Done it twice already, and still crashed wrong. As they say, try, try again.

It's kinda unsettling too that they sell parts in 2 packs. They know we're going to crash again, and again.

Sorry to hear about the crash. Everyone should seriously look at eBay after a major crash as there are Heli's with no electronics for $116.95 buy it now and only $20 or so in shipping. Heck i'm thinking of buying one just to have in case.
