That demo Finless Bob did on the Gorilla gear skids upgrade is incredible. Those things are indestructible! Do they make a version to fit the Blade or is there something as sturdy sold by another brand?

I am sure he will chime in, but LockMD uses some gear from a 600. They appear to be wider and higher and durable. I think the Gorilla hear will fit a 600 won't they? If so, I would say yes, they should work. If I recall, Lock had to make an adjustment for the holes, but it works, and that is what counts.

I'm not sure if the 450 version fit. But I've seen one in my local field a 400 with gorilla gear. I'm sure you can retro fit it.

Yes, I do like my setup using E-sky skids from an E-Smart 600 have a ton of clearance but I'm sure I loose a little time from the added weight too, but hey - it works for me :)
Hey Eugene! not sure if you heard but my NEW 600 is in the air as of last night! woo hoooooo!
You'll have to come see it soon before I set her on fire again :D

I just got some metal landing struts from a Rex 450 and reamed the holes out a bit. Works good, and wont break.

They don't make it specifically for the B400, but the T-Rex 450 gear works great.

You will need to drill new mounting holes, as the B400's frame is slightly narrower than a T-Rex 450 frame. It's very easy to do. I just taped my old gear to the Gorilla Gear and used it as a drilling jig. You can re-use the stock mounting screws, too.
And yes, Gorilla Gear really is as awesome as Finless says it is. You can torque on it all day long and it just springs back to it's original shape.

Yup, they sure are. They just screw right on. No mods necessary.

OK, I'm sold on the gear and paddles.
Where can I get them online, especially the yellow?
Thanks.

Those look like the normal size, not the low profile correct?

I love the paddles. They're a bit more responsive than the stock ones. I've got no weight in them. (Gotta have my flips and rolls, ya know.) I dare say the real reason I like 'em so much is that I can see the rotor disc better! The blade tape only shows up when you get just the right angle with the sun, the paddles show up well all the time. The gear is the normal height, not the low-pro. I fly off of both grass and pavement, so I wanted a little more tail rotor clearance. I got both the gear and paddles at ReadyHeli.
I've also done most of the things listed on this thread over at RR: http://www.runryder.com/helicopter/t394954p1/ Although I can't throw mine around that hard... yet.

Did someone ask about ground clearance? I have 1.25" from the ground to the bottom of my tail fin.
