Hi folks!

New member from Norway signing in :noteworthy

I'm a newbie when it comes to helicopters, so I have decided
to try out some simulators before I buy the real thing.
Most likely I will end up with a trex 450 or Copterx 450.
Maybe not the easiest helicopter for a beginner, but my
hand-to-eye coordination is quite good from years of PS/Xbox

Therefore I wonder what simulators I can use Futaba 7C 2,4GHz with?
Can this radio be used with Realflight 4 or Phoenix?
If yes, what adaptor do I need- a round or a square one?

Hello neigbor ;) welcome to the heliworld

I have a futaba 7c 2.4 too and it has a square connections to it and you can use it to both pheonix and realflight as far as I know. my 7c is the heli transmitter wich you can buy in the states but not here in sweden where they only sell a heli/airplane transmitter not sure if that one has the same connection for the computer interface though.

Edit " In the state they sell two types of the 7c heli and airplane mode but you can still fly both plane and heli with any of them and here in sweden they only sell one typ of the 7c wich is abit different in the look as far as I have seen. they are all pretty mutch the same anyway"

I picked up a USB cable for my 7C off eBay for dirt cheap. It works great with Mark's HeliSim (http://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=53245) (free). Cheapest and least PC requirements compared to any other sim yet very effective. Sure...you can't fly at night in it...and currently no sound, but it's golden.

Thanks for the replys.
I guess I'll go for the Futaba then.

But do you recommend to buy it with servos or shall
I go for radio + receiver only?
I don't know what helicopter i'm gonna buy yet, so maybe
its better to buy the servos later. Perhaps the servos that follows with
the radio is crappy too?

I bought it without the servos becouse they are to big to fit into a t-rex 450. I dont know how good the servos are that come in the kit but I believe you can buy the radio with two different types of servos aswell, not sure though.
