Hey guys, I ordered this:
http://www.cnchelicopter.com/servlet/the-1208/ESky-Belt-CP-CNC/Detail

I received the part and now that I put it on I see is way too short. The original is 122mm and this one is 115 mm.
I believe I have read on a thread here that I COULD shorten the servo links but is that really OK or I should send it back and get a larger one? Let me know what you guys think, thanks!

The stock pEsky shaft is 122mm, whereas the Align carbon shaft I [and many others] use is 115mm long, This fits no problem and gives adequate swashplare clearance, but due the waisting for the bearing, this align shaft is fitted upside down, that is with the letters uppermost. What you have looks like the align shaft, so yes it will fit, yes you will need to reduce your servo rod length, but it is no problem.

....further to my previous. Deeper thought suggests that the amount of adjustment to your servo rods will be directly dependent on the distance measured between the 2 holes in the shaft. For example, the Align carbon steel shafts are about 0.75mm shorter than the pEsky ones. Any extra shaft outside of these holes is irrelevent. So you may need a bit of minor adjustment.

Done, i just wanted to double check. I now just need to wait for good weather..... forcast here... rain until Tuesday :arggg:

Hey, what did you mean by "this align shaft is fitted upside down, that is with the letters uppermost"? I didn't see any letters at all. It was REALLY easy to take the main shaft off and put the new one in. I was being careful but I think it should only take about 5 minutes or so. Amazing!

Ha ha.... you might still get your parts before Tuesday ;)
I ordered from cnchelicopters on Tuesday and I got the parts Thursday (that's where the mainshaft came from). I hope you get your parts soon and thanks for you help!

Soz about the reference to Align shafts, but it was one of the first bits I changed on my BeltCP. The carbon steel Align shafts are excellently machined to a high standard, are rock solid and absolutely straight. A thing of beauty. Oh, and they have "ALIGN" etched on them.
