Hi,
I really need your advice in this. I have bought DX7 from US and because I live in Europe I obviously couldn't use provided charger.
I tried to use universal charger but nothing was happening so I thought, maybe I got the polarity wrong, so I tried to reverse it.
Since that moment I can't turn transmitter on :arggg:
What could have I damaged by reversing charger polarity and is there any chance I could fix it?

You probably reversed the polarity.
Remove the battery and case screws and open up the back. There's a board mounted on standoffs, remove that and you will see a toasted fuse. Over here they are available at Radio Shack, nothing special so any electronics house should have it.

If it is a fuse, make sure you get a "fast blow" fuse and not a "slow blow" fuse

It is a fuse, it's obviously burned.

When DX7 is charging, does it indicate it somehow on the screen? Or how would you know it's charging and when it is finished?

I use a 350ma wall ad/dc adapter. From 10.4 volts, it charges it to 11.6v in about 2-3 hours. 11 plus is your target voltage. I usually end with 11.4 volts.

Thanks all for your help. It was fuse, I repleaced it and everything is working fine again.
Gino: But how do you know dx7 is charging? Does it indicate it somehow?

The only Indicator That I know of is on the original wall charger there is a led that is lit when charging.

And the problem is, JR/Spektrum the pin is negative on the charging jack. Everyone else, the pin is positive.

Yup, found that out when I plugged my transmitter into my charger.
Luckily, my Bantam BC-5 has a polarity verification step in the charging system that tells you if you have it connected correctly.
It looks funny having the positive lead connected to negative and vice versa, but it charges the transmitter pack just fine that way.
I don't even mess with wall warts anymore. Way too slow.
