He He Yep I can understand that....:YeaBaby:
Gonna post a new vid. in the next half hour when its loaded cause I promised jonny one,
you can have a good laugh at my 'progress' then. Since my funds have become more limited I'm on tender hooks every time I fly cause If I smash it badly I'll be out of action
till I can afford to fix it.:(

Still the heli is flying really well and like you said using rate gyro is good discipline:)

Max 5A it says. But I only have a choise of changing the output fron 5 to 6v

There you go... 3A nominal.... not good enough... need min 4A.

Well i havent got a clue then. I was told tro buy this as its a seperate BEC and evryone recomended it. It says 3A 5A max. So surely that means it will do 5A. Why sell a BEC thats no good? I cant see that been the case. Im an ametuer but cant believe I bought something to do a job and it wont do it?

this is what i mean...

3Amps nominal is like borderline what you need, for all i know the sudden drop and then try to regain to 5 Amps could be enough to make the radio unbind...

This is why i say, too many things screw around with 2.4..

you need something better than the 3amp, the 5amp max is just on bursts, it cannot maintain over 3amps for long...

What type of servos are you using? gyro? Gyro Servo?

If they are digital you'll go over 3Amps EASY!

SG90's all round and std Esky Gyro

My sg 90's are working fine with the standard esc and no external BEC Andy. If it was simple brown out because of current demand from the servo's it would rebind within
.4 sec. I would be inclined to contact spectrum

Hope you sort it soon

Yes absolutely.... non digital servos and stock gyro should not and will not eat up 3amps so thats not your problem....

There is "blind spots" in 2.4Ghz have you tried relocating your RX? maybe loose connection someplace?

Think I may have solved the connection issue. My rx is ok I think. Think its just the way I was disconnection the battery and leaving the tx switched on while connecting the next battery. WIll have a few goes and let you all know.

Was thinking of getting 1 digital servo for the tail will that cause me any probs in the future with the BEC. Also getting the futaba 401 HH gyro.

I think I'll go for the castle creations one before I risk any digital servo's

Some of the things i never wanna see my heli do.

Alan Szabo's lockout/brownout resulting in chicken dance, This is a pro with a Pro
setup with all the nice things like BEC's installed so this shouldnt happen but yet
it does.....fast foward to 5:35

<SNIP>
So much for reliability, sorry i just dont see it, i dont see crashes like this caused by FM radio's going stupid.

Dierwolf, I hate to point this out but that first clip (alan Szabo) is using FM, check the aerial and the antenna, it's definitely not 2.4Ghz!!

:nanabobo

Besides, had a glitch on FM tonight causing my heli to nosedive, not had any such thing on 2.4!!

I use spektrum things for everything now, it makes things so much safer. Infact Fighting robot in America have now been banned from using anything but 2.4ghz purely for safety reasons, and things are following that direction here!
It may be that your batteries arent doing so well, the BEC you have and your set-up will give plenty of power.
I'm using the scorpion ESC's BEC with spektrum receiver, 3x HS-65MG servos and a high current draw digital tail servo with not a single problem.
