I finally bit the bullet and went for a back flip. I was prepared to crash even though it was so easy to do on the sim. I did figure 8's for about 5 minutes and gave it a try. I gave it a little extra collective then slammed the right stick all the back. As it was going inverted I lowered the collective just like on the sim and flipped it on around and brought it to a nice hover and landed. It took me a few minutes to get the hands to quite shaking. I had just installed a the logictech 2100 gyro and this was my second flight with it. That gyro rocks!!! I put in my other battery and did 5 more flips with breaks in between because my thumbs were shaking so bad! My next mission is nose in. I have tried twice now and have almost crashed both times. As soon as i spin it around it is already coming straight for me:arggg:

congrats!!

get that nose in practice.. i've had tail blowout few times on stationary flips then stuck with heli staring you in the eyes... just go up high, and swing around, try keep there for few seconds, swing back tail in, do again and again....

Congratulations!! I know exactly how it feels :)
Tried my first successfull flips a couple of weeks ago, in the weeks after i managed doing FF rolls, stationary rolls, TicTocs, piroetting stallturns...
Each new move gave me chestpain and blurred vision afterwards..
But it's worth it!!! :D

motoxmaniac93, Try the flip as high as you can that way you have room for error. I almost ate it doing a flip but luckily I was high enough to pull it out from hitting the ground. It was close. Real close....

I did the exact same thing as you! for my first flip i was soo scared, but i was like, i guna crash sooner or later so i did it and went through Np. only problem is my gy401 + s9650 didnt hold and blew out on me, but my 3rd flip was a fail - it hit the ground hard with minor damage.
