Guys,
I just picked up another Ion-X that has the 32-4 with it.
I think I am missing the coupler that goes between the motor and the pinion shaft, but not having any instructions or anything to go by I am not sure.
Anybody got a copy of the instructions for the outrunner mount that can scan them for me or e-mail?
Thanks

Which motor do you have? Is it the heli or aero motor?

This one. :D
Part A seems to be missing Part B so it can mate with Part C. :D

hey , you can get the motor coupling from dymond motor sports , just call them up and say you have the airplane version motor and you need a coupling for the 32-3 5mm female (steal) not the aluminum one ,

Tony,
Thanks I will do that.
Do you know if it is the correct depth?
I read where Chris says the shafts have to bottom out against each other.
Hobby-Lobby has them also, but I don't see one that is 13mm which is the distance from the bottom of the shaft to the 6mm taper.

hey , hes talking about the actro heli version motor , you have the airplane version , I talk out it on my Ion with actro motor in this forum and have pictures , I changed out my airplane version because its a 6 minute motor , it gets up to 200 degrees at 7 to 8 minutes , but the motor can handle 200 inside no problem , but Im thinking it will have a short bearing life because of this

Tony,
Thanks that helps a bunch.
This is mostly for Aerial photography so I am not too worried about more than that.
We fly about 7 minutes now and I am sure we put a lighter load on it than 3D.

Well just found out today that Hobby-Lobby is discontinuing ALL Actroproducts.
Don't go looking there for your Actro stuff in the future. :(
They seem to think that the AXI is just as good and less money.
I got an aluminum adapter from them that should get me by.
Down the road I will pick up the 24-4 heli version for my outrunner. :D
Maybe I will stick this on in a plank then. :D

Jason
i took that aluminum adaptor and drilled it out to a 4mm set screw and used red loctite and it never gave me a problem on one of my IONS with a bunch of flights

Thanks Bobby.
I have a couple 4mm set screws and a tap might just have to do that.
