Just got a Gaui 200 SD. Was wondering if there are any other Gaui 200 fliers up here in the frozen north.

Sweet machine. I am amazed at how small it is. Exactly the same size as my CX2 except its a mini trex. Its so light and fragile looking. Perfect for the "backyard" size they have in Calgary

Greetings!

I've been up there, but live where it's warmer (Dallas, TX 90dg today..)
Loved the stampede, enjoyed the comraderie.:cheers
The rest of you should visit, this is a cool place (no pun intended...).

Glad to hear you're enjoying your 200! Keep at it!

Hey ***

I too have visited your neck of the woods. Had a layover DWF in Sept one year. Walked out of the airport and between the heat and humidity it was like hitting a wall. I would take your weather for about 8 months of the year but am afraid I couldnt handle the summer. Was in Dallas for a few days a couple years back in Jan and liked the size of it. Nice to get around.

I noticed a post on your 4#3. I have one of those little demons and found that putting a few wraps of solder on the flybar (up against the paddles) tammed it down a lot. Just have to make sure the two pieces are close in weight. As well, the fore/aft balance is very important, at least for me.

Look forward to getting the parts in to build it.

Hey, that's interesting!

I've been experimenting with different length flybars, and did exactly that, putting solder wraps on the flybars! Made a difference in the rate of the rolls, but she still rolls from side to side, requiring massive stick throws. Funny, but pitch is not so much an issue, and that little gyro really put's the volts on the tail motor, but it seems to hold pretty good.

I'm not making much progress with the 4#3 I'm afraid, but I'll get back to her... <Most> aircraft are basically good, we just need time to heal in-between bite$....

I found mine was unstable before the solder (read that as my lack of skill). Loading up the flybar made it work for me. Best I can do with it is hover all over the place tail in and slight sides. Any more than that and it reacts to fast (the wrong way) and I loose it. I fly all the rest of my helis on a DX7 and I miss the ability to put in expo and adjust ranges etc on the 4#3

Great little indoor heli for winter though I think the G200 is destined to replace it. As well the G200 should handle a bit more wind outside than the walkera.
