I was at my lhs the other day, and one of the partners who is a good friend of mine, gave me a crashed ergo 60, with all the parts to rebuild (airframe)
This is my first fuel heli...
What kind of trouble am I in?
Would it make a good scale ship?
I downloaded the 68 page manual from heliproz.
Right now I have a box of parts and a bucket 'o bolts.
Any input is welcome!

Judging your statement, it seems like you have dealt with electric helis so the build should go ok. I can point out a few things..

Get a good balance and balance the fan. If plan on running a governor you will most likely mount the magnet for the sensor on the fan surface and they usually provide two spots across from eashother to do this. Mount a magnet in each spot but make sure the polarity of each magnet is opposite the other. + side facing out one one and - side out on the other.

If you have an incidence meter use it to check clutch after installing. If you dont have one you can mount the motor someplace solid with clutch/fan installed and put the edge of the clutch next to something stationary. Turn the fan/clutch and watch the gap between edge of the clutch and the surface you chose as a reference. You want that gap to remain the same. If the gap changes significantly, remove it and rotate it 180 degrees and remount and check again. Make adjusts using any slack there may be before tightening the screws to get the best results.

When installing the clutch on the motor, if its not already installed, use a crankshaft tool to hold the shaft when tightening the nut that holds the clutch/fan assembly to the motor shaft. Some people stick something into the exhaust port and hold that top of the piston. That can cause damage so dont do it.

Balance, balance and then balance again. The head, tail, fan, blades, etc.. It will make for much better performance and less maintenance.

Thats all I can think of right now. Im not as detailed on nitro heli builds as most so Im sure more will be pointed out.
