I don't know what training gear you are looking at but I have the Rotopod training gear and I think it is the best out there although it is a little expensive. But it gives you a lot of options. 1. 45 degree angle for the feet to get the heli ( tail ) away from ground effect.
2. Flat profile for when you get a little better with the landings.
3. adjustable pivot point so you can have the heli tilt easy or have it fixed level to the training gear
Check it out.

Wow, Okay. It's not TOO expensive. Is there anything that I DONT need from my little selections?
[EDIT] it is OUT OF STOCK. Man thats a bummer! Maybe I'll get that first trainer set to suffice, until I can get the weighted one!

Hey whats up, just reading through your post, looks like you have what you need covered, but I have a suggestion. If your training gear has the wood type sticks, I would spray paint them with a good even coat of spray paint or something that would protect the wood from the fuel from your exhaust, my buddies heli had an unfortunate accident after spooldown. the fuel soaked wood just broke after some weeks of use due to the fuel, that caused a nasty blade strike to the boom and some months to get the heli back into the air. He like you only had so much to spend and did not have everything needed in his spare parts to get it back into the air for some time which hurt his confidence and his learning curve, I think you would benefit greatly from just waiting for a while and going with a sim to get some much needed stick time. My realflight has been great for orientation and it has all sorts of training exercises in it along with virtual flight instruction. Then you could basically fly and crash as many times as you need to get to a comfortable point, also allowing you to save more money and buy what you want instead of getting the minimum required to get into the air. Also the DX7 is a great and affordable 2.4ghz radio that will carry you well into your future heli's. I love mine  Either way you will have a great time learning and progressing, I would also suggest if you do go ahead with the combo you have chosen, find a club and go hand out for awhile and get to know the guys.
They will be invaluable when getting your heli in the air succesfully for the first time, and will be able to check you heli over before the first try to ensure its flight worthiness. This will save time, money and frustration.:dontknow Going it alone is very difficult and causes alot of people to abandon this great hobby before they have fully given it a chance. Im not sure how mechanically inclined you are or even how familiar with these type of electronics, so no offence if you are past the point of knowing what atv and end points and all that are. Still some who go it alone do just fine. Anyway :cheers and:Bang for choosing heli's.

The only other things you need is a blade balancer ( there are methods to do this without ) and a pitch guage and some tracking tape of some kind to use to balance blades and set up heli for no vibration flights.

Lastly while waiting for heli to arrive spend time watching all of fineless build videos and with the repetition of terms and methods in his builds you will successfully build and setup a great heli. And ask us here for info and advice before you try something you are not sure of to avoid disaster.
