hi iv just bought a TP-610 as my old batt charger was cheap crap, anyway i have 1/ 6 cell align 2500mah 25c, & 1/ 6 cell align 2600mah 25c. well to start with the batt's have had about 10 cycles max on them so they are pritty new, as iv only flew prity lightly to break them in. so this morning my tp 610c arrived, well the batt's were fully charged from the old charger, so iv plugged in the align 2500mah set it to charge at 2.5A hit start after thirty seconds or so, i got a alarm on the screen it had a number 4 flashing in square brackets & overcharge cell in a pack so i hit select scrolled to INT balancing & it has on the screen a M & B flashing in brackets, then cell 1232456, underneath i have B.status 1-5 is flashing on & off repeatedly, cell 6 is not flashing, now if i hit the DEC- it shows C-1, 4.192V C-2, 4.184, C-3, 4.146V, C-4, 4.152V, C-5, 4.245V, C-6, 4.089V, now if i hit the INC+ i get CL : C-6 & CH: C5 and if i keep scrolling it just says the same as above, i don't get CH or CL on any other cell when scrolling, just cell number & current as above. so my question is how do i balance it out, i have the batt plugged in both ways through board & through deans plug, now when im on the screen that is showing me the B status & the flashing five cells & the M&B flashing in the top left corner if i hit the red ENT STOP button it takes me to another screen this time is shows input voltage 14.013 output 24.920 is it now balancing or not.sorry to be a pain but i would like to try & keep my packs in good nick:thumbup:

so my question is how do i balance it out

Basically, you have 1 cell which is overcharged, and so the charger doesn't want anything to do with your pack.

Try this. Discharge the pack for 2-3 minutes (at least 25% of a normal flight time) using your heli, then plug it into the charger and charge it.

Another option would be to use the discharge function, I don't know if the cell overcharge feature applies to discharging a LiPo or not.

Hi,

I'm having the same problem, same charger but charging thunder power v2 3 cell 2200. I'm getting overcharge cell in pack.

Now there must be something I don't get... why can't it charge just the ones that are undercharged? Isn't that what a balanced charger is suppose to do?

I've tried the discharge function, didn't work. Tried flying the battery a couple of times, didn't work. What can I do? What am I missing?

you have both a tp charger and lipo ... why not give TP a call and see what they say? They may be willing to exchange one or the other...

I have the same thing going on with my new tp610c chrager. I have two new outrage 6s 2500 packs for a trex 500. The charger shuts off and tells me I have overcharge condition in one cell. When checking the packs it is cell #1 in each pack.I can get aroung the over voltage error if I charge at less than 1 amp. I have tried to balance the packs with a blinky balancer then resume charging at more than one amp but the shut downs continue. This is with a pack that has flown for several minutes to discharge it. The display is also confusing, it flashes "cv" next to the voltage on the display indicating it has converted to constant voltage but the voltage continues to rise from 24.x to 25.2 for 6s and the amps stay steady. It appears to still be charging at contsant current. The packs are new with only one flight on them. Do they still need to break in before I can charge at 1c?

Was able to fly some this weekend. After flying the batteries everthing is working fine now, must have just been new batteries needing to be used a bit
