Hi guys

I'm still waiting for the electronics for my 600E Knight, but a couple of the guys at my field are flying them and today both of them stripped the main gears.

The one gear stripped as he went into idle up, the other one stipped while the guy was doing pitch pumps.

Has anyone else heard anything about the main gears stripping? Is this prehaps a weak point.

Both these helis were the 6 cell versions. I have the eight cell and am worried that if the 6 cell's are stripping gears, then surely the 8 cell has more power and will be worse.

Regards

Neil

Go for the white main gear ones, I know of two that have done it in the uk on start off, not in flight as yet!

I thought it was down to the slow ramp setting of the speed controller spoll up being just a little too harsh.

The new black gears on the 3d nitro have been fine.. infact better than fine..

I talk with Luke and direct him to this post..

this was an issues last summer but i believe it has been fixed. the 6s is fairly new so no im not sure anymore.
white gear is a better quality.
how many flights did they have on those 6s?

i'm speaking under correction, but one of the guys was the 3rd flight... went into idle up to quickly and stripped gear... might just be ESC throttle responce setting that's to high...

That's right. Both heli's literally have a couple of easy flights on them.
