I noticed that the delivery date for the 12X on Horizon has gone from "mid-May" to "very soon." Is that a good sign or a bad one (for those of us who are waiting)?

That would depend on the definition of Very Soon. LOL

A rep at SEFF told me it ships on the 15th.

And it depends on which way is good or bad for YOU. :)
For me, shipping will be bad, because I may end up getting one. :)

Item status has now changed from "very soon" to "out of stock." Sounds like the first shipment has arrived and is already sold out. We'll see if my pre-order went in soon enough; I placed it in the first week, I believe.
Anyone notice that Horizon now says Early June for the 12X....

On the Horizon Hobby dealer site the ETA is 5/22.

The one with no RX is same price as the one with RX. What is up with that?

David,
Actually they are two different radios. the 1210 is the combination 72 & 2.4 radio, which has a later available date. And the 1200 is the 2.4 only radio. So thats why one has a receiver and one does not.

Joe,
Thanks, I guess I should have read the fine print. LOL

David,
Actually its hard to determine from anything on their site. Even the description is cryptic...

I got an email from Horizon today saying "Your back order is ready to ship. Please confirm your purchase of a DX6i..." I wrote them back and told them (and attached a copy of my order) that I only have a 12X on backorder and that I've never ordered a DX6i before. We'll see if it was a typo.
DX6i? 12X? Easy mistake...

i'm very curious of the native 2.4ghz and the version with the 72mhz/2.4ghz module. i'm wondering if the module version would have a slower latency respond than the native 2.4ghz, and if so would it be noticeable.
i like the idea of having both 72mhz and 2.4ghz, as i have a lot of pcm receiver that i have invested and are not interested to sell to upgrade. but i like to play with that new 2048 resolution though.
i'm currently using the 10x by the way, and the spectrum module upgrade doesn't have 2048 resolution on the 10x.

Since it was designed to work with the two mudles from scratch, the latency is likely to be very close.
Personally I sold/am selling all my 72 Rxes. No reason to mess with them.

The latency of the 2.4ghz only and the module version will be identical when running 2.4ghz - they both plug in the same way.
