well i ordered one anyways. this orbit has absolutely zero play in the bearings. i have my neu out of my rex600 and was comparing the two and they were not even close.

what is the trick to glueing the tail servo rod ends? every time i have tried so far i am able to twist the metal rod out of the carbon one when i adjust the ball links.

I pour a whole bunch of CA down the CF rod and then slide the threaded rod in half-way and hold it until it's dry. Use a lot of CA, or better yet, epoxy. I also hold the CF rod tight with pliers when I'm screwing on the ball-links.

well i got it to stay. i just broke down and used the epoxy instead of ca. i had to shorten the cf rod a little to give room to adjust the tail. is that normal?

it wasn't my experience - I believe my ball-links are about 2.5mm out from each end of the CF rod because it wasn't long enough. Most likely this is due to your belt tension.

my belt is pretty tight i think i might loosen after i see how the first flight goes.

On my 600, I have the ball links flush with the CF, and really, it's still a little too long. Belt tension is tighter than I like, too, but not bad.
Wish I'd have shortened the CF tube a bit first...

yeah i only took of 4mm so not that much. you can soke the ends in ca debonder overnight if you want to change it. that is what i had to do with one of the boom support rods when i didnt get the end in all the way before it hardened on me:arggg:

See, I had suspicions of the first L600 I had having the rod come out, leading to a crash, so you know the threaded rod you use for putting the nuts in the frame? I used those in both ends of the CF - same size, and much more to bite on. That, and I used epoxy all the way so it ain't coming apart (I HOPE!).

i might do that as i am worried too. it seems to me that is a major weak point in the design.
