I just bought a new Thunder Power 1320 lipo. And I also bought a balancer so I could keep it balanced and charged correctly. I know there is alot of variables; But could anyone tell me about how long it is safe on the battery to fly a Blade CP just hovering ,and basic forward flight. I really appreciate any info or advice anyone has. Thanks, Jupiter 20060

Just cruising by and saw that nobody botherd to answer.Just so happens that my second heli.happens to be the same setup as yours. So, to answer your question,I get 15 to 17 mins.plus out of mine.Best batt.I've ever put in that little bird, hands down.Even used the stock eflight charger with no problems but long charge time.

That is a very good battery and I used to get 8 1/2 minutes on my Axe CP. The Blade is a little smaller so you might get a little more but you should test this. Consider a computer charger such as the Triton Jr. for your LiPo will which tell you how many mAh you're putting back into your battery.

Fly for 5 minutes then charge your battery and see how many mAh you've put back in. This way you can see how much you've consumed -- don't go below 20% and you'll be fine. Fly a little longer each time and you'll be able to see how long the battery will last for your heli.

Your battery life will depend on some variables such the tighness of your gear/pinion mesh, your particular battery and motor, etc.

Wow, 15 - 17 minutes on one charge? Are you sure you're not over discharging your lipo?
