E-620 / E-550 and KASAMA 00011

Well I had quite a surprise while upgrading the alu tail boom to carbon fiber (PV0523).

The beautiful Kasama code 00011 which is the tail casing set doesn't fit the PV0523!

After talking to Kasama through e-mails, Kasama will release the same tail casing set that will fit the carbon tail boom.

Anyways my usual friend helped out but in exchange want's me to fix his own heli..

Why doesn't it fit? The carbon boom should be identical to the stock one. Sometimes places sell copy ones, is it original TT?

I think I got the original PV0523 from Thunder tiger. (There is no stamp LOL) But on the outer it is written Thunder Tiger Raptor...

It does not fit because of the difference in the material thickness between the standard metal boom and the CF boom. The Kasama tail casing 00011 is a very very close fit to the metal boom. The CF boom being thicker, it's impossible to join them.

So in a way you're right they "should be" identical. Only problem is that they are not. (I have both by the way.)

Kasama told me that I shouldn't try to diminish the diameter of their 00011 tail case set as then the alu wall would be then too thin.

He also told me that he will set up a production run for those who did follow the same upgrade route.

Ah yes I remember how the tail case goes on. Good thing i didn't get the carbon boom as well!
