I am trying to make my choice for a new engine, would you choose the OS or YS for it's power & ease of use?
Cheers,
Brian

thanks for your comments.....
a friend of mine has been running his Hyper for less than 10 flights and had his engine destroyed....
In fact, once the engine was opened (yesterday) we found like a yellow pwder inside it and the conrod detroyed.....
his heli was flying just fine before it and showed no signs of whatsoever....
quite bizarre, isn't it?

that yellow powder is probly the bronze conrod bushing at the crankshaft end.

sounds like a severe case of running lean or a bad engine to begin with. If its got 10 flights on it, it should still be under warranty

YS50ST is different in terms of plumbing and starting technique but for tuning and consistent performance I would rate it above the OS.

I love mine.

BTW, you could have asked this in the engines and mufflers section - you'd probably get opinions from a wider range of users there. (i.e. not just the 600N crowd)

Thanks Archiebald.....
I believe that you are spot on.
Giving it a thought, it is probably the bushing .
I'll take your positive comment and will post a new thread in the engines section.

Brian
