iv had my 500 out today, its set up spot on & well built & maintained, but the last two flights i noticed a squeal a high pitch a bit like a bird singing when i start to do some tic toks its more profound & i think its the motor, in fact in about 99% positive as everything else is fine. so my question to yous, is the motor bearings gone or going ? or should i just carry on flying till its really loud, or is it possible to change the motor bearings. i must admit iv never took a motor apart before so its treading on new territory, & if i could take the motor apart were would i get new motor bearings mind i live in london not the us.:dontknow

It is quite normal and it usually disappears after 5-10-15 flights.
There are several threads about this issue.

Have your motor temps gone up since the noise?

I would personally do a pinionless test on the motor to make sure its coming from the motor itself. Did you grind a flat spot for the grub screw?

yeah my motor gets hot, if i land it close & pick it up the motor bottom is barely touchable & the sides are also pritty hot. i never grinded a flat spot for the grub screw, but its tight & i dont think its slipping as it would probably bog while doing tic toks and i have no bog at all, even so iv just ordered a new scorpion motor the 3026 1400kv so i should have that by the end of the week :clappp
