Man the wind has done nothing but blow all day and as the day has strolled along and here now it's 4:30 PM and its only gotten worse. :arggg: You would think that around the evening hours it would start to calm but yet it hasn't. I've been driving around and noticing traffic lights being blown almost 30 degrees out from the cables they are hanging on.Maybe around an hour or two it will get calm and I'll have 30 minutes flight time. It's been blowing so bad I'm even afraid to take my 500 up in the air. What I find strange is that this wind is coming from the north and here in Alabama we usually get wind further south since we are so close to the coast. It seems like a fantastic flying day with sunny, clear-blue skies and 85 degree temperature aside from the 40 MPH gusts. :DOHAnyone else been shut down on what they thought or planned out to be an eventful fly day?

Windy as hell here, but it was expected.
They forecast 5-10 mph tomorrow, but It'll probably still be gusty
I used today to work on my canopy graphics :)
Where are you in Bama? B'ham?
What are you doing tomorrow? I have Mondays off

I was flyin' in the 35 mph gusts with my 500. It was fun, just didn't do anything crazy. The worst part was when my hat would blow off while flying. Fun times.

I'm impressed how much wind my T-500 will handle. Not any exotic flying.......................but then I don't do any exotic flying in the best of conditions! :YeaBaby:
