hey..
i recently crashed and rebuilt had to replace main shaft feathershaft blade holders ect.. the main stuff...
i stripped one of the servo gears so i couldn't wait for the gear set so i just upgraded to the hitec hs65mg on the cyclic...
i took it out yesterday to test it and the heli just starts to spin on the z axis... i have to hold rudder constantly just to maintain a hover...
i dont know what it is but i cant figure it out. its very annoying as i am trying to learn still
any ideas would be greatly appreciated

Well, did you trash the tail rotor servo too?
I would also check the tail rotor shaft to make sure it's still straight,
and make sure that the belt is still tight, too

Yep, depends on how it went in to the dirt. My last crash was tail first and it pushed the boom in a fraction. At first I thought the drive gear for the belt had stripped, turned out it was just too loose and slipping. Slide the boom back out til you cant turn the tail rotor with the main gear held still and all is good.
Also, I agree with Jim - you may have stripped the tail servo. If you have already replaced it with something different, it will be reversed, as in, reverse it in the TX AND throw the nor-rev switch on the gyro.
Did you replace all 3 servos on the cyclic? If not, please do :) will not trim up properly with mixed servos.

yeah all 3 were replaced with new servos
crash was blades hitting deck post.
ill check to see if the rotor shaft is straight

Make sure you jump on to the Finless Bob setup videos and that will get you running nicely.

I had a problem like that. It turned out to be that my belt was installed wrong. My tail rotor was turning clockwise instead of counter clockwise.
Turn the main rotor clockwise and make sure the tail rotor turns counter clockwise. If the tail is turning clockwise open the tail housing, shine a light on the belt through the slot where you check belt tightness on the frame, center the belt down the shaft and then give it a half twist and place on tail gear. Now, with the tail housing still open, turn the main rotor clockwise and note the direction of the tail rotor. If the tail rotor is still turning clockwise flip the belt over the other way. Make sure you do not have more than a half twist in the belt.
