Substuting head Dampners on the 3D???

The stock dampners are out of stock. Can I get away with using the sport dampners if I make the hole fit the 8mm shaft??
I'm in a pinch & want to fly this comming weekend.:arggg:

trex 600n dampers work with some extra shims as they arent as deep. downside is they are too deep and you get a wobble at the end of an auto.
