this may seem stupid (and it probably is, but i'm tired so at the moment it seems like a good question)...

How can a 6S 5000mAh lipo with a 25C con. and 50C burst rating (125 Amp and 250 Amp) run on an Align RCE-Bl75G ESC without burning it out?

From my understanding, the ESC is rated at 75amps... so how can it handle 125 amps con. and 250 amps burst? I know that the li-po hardly ever puts out as much amperage as it is rated but i would think that it would still put out more than 75amps.

I know it works cuz its the setup that I've seen a lot of people use.

The packs current is the max amount it can supply. The 75A ESC is probably rated at 75A cont, 100A peak for 5Seconds.

A heli 30 size electric won't need over 100 amp generally and if it does it for not very long.

One of the reason people go for larger C rating is a) it gives it more punch b) the voltage my sag less under load c) more cycles on the pack than if you were to use one with a 20C rating
